With one of the fastest growing business costs being the internet, knowing how to get free domain name registration on the internet can actually go a long way in making things run a little more smoothly. Whether you have an online business or simply a website for your real-world business, your web presence is important. At the same time, you do not want to have to worry about the cost of domain registration in addition to your monthly hosting fees, web design fees, and possibly even email hosting as well. So what is the answer? Here are a few tips that can help you learn how to get free domain name registration on the internet.
Learning how to get free domain name registration on the internet is not difficult. There are really a couple of strategies you can use to avoid those extra nagging fees for your web presence. You can work through either an online registration and hosting company or a local company that will serve the same functions for you, but will do so from close by so that you have more human contact.
When working with an online domain name registration and hosting company, you can really afford to shop around and get the best deal. The best deal, in every case, should include free domain name registration. Any hosting company worth their salt on the internet will at least toss in the domain name registration for you. If they do not, you have to ask yourself what they are really doing for you. Using a company for your web hosting, email, and domain registration is how to get free domain name registration on the internet with little or no effort.
Another recommendation for how to get free domain name registration on the internet is through a local hosting company. You will be able to get the benefit of face to face work, while still using a company whose primary function for you will take place on the internet. Like the companies online, if you are going to use the company for internet hosting and email, you should ask them about getting free domain name registration on the internet. It is a saved fee for you, and compared to what they are getting, it is a small cost for the hosting company to eat. If they do not seem eager to offer to throw in the domain registration for you, then it may be time to take your business or personal internet needs elsewhere.
Though domain name registration is not a huge cost, it is a recurring annual cost. In addition, if you have a larger company or want a major web presence, you may want to register multiple domain names. Either way, knowing how to get free domain name registration on the internet can save you money. How much money you save will depend on a lot of factors, but no matter the amount, it is still money in your pocket. So insist on free domain name registration from your internet hosting company and put more money in your pocket.

Wireless Network Security. Your wireless.
Working from home has its advantages, including no commute, a more flexible work schedule and fresh coffee and home-cooked meals whenever you want.
But working from home while using a wireless local area network (WLAN) may lead to theft of sensitive information and hacker or virus infiltration unless proper measures are taken. As WLANs send information over radio waves, someone with a receiver in your area could be picking up the transmission, thus gaining access to your computer.
They could load viruses on to your laptop which could be transferred to the company's network when you go back to work.
Up to 75 per cent of WLAN users do not have standard security features installed, while 20 per cent are left completely open as default configurations are not secured, but made for the users to have their network up and running ASAP.
It is recommended that wireless router/access point setup be always done though a wired client.
Change default administrative password on wireless router/access point to a secured password.
Enable at least 128-bit WEP encryption on both card and access point. Change your WEP keys periodically. If equipment does not support at least 128-bit WEP encryption, consider replacing it.
Although there are security issues with WEP, it represents minimum level of security, and it should be enabled.
Change the default SSID on your router/access point to a hard to guess name. Setup your computer device to connect to this SSID by default.
Setup router/access point not to broadcast the SSID. The same SSID needs to be setup on the client side manually. This feature may not be available on all equipment.
Block anonymous Internet requests or pings.
On each computer having wireless network card, network connection properties should be configured to allow connection to Access Point Networks Only. Computer to Computer (peer to peer) Connection should not be allowed.
Enable MAC filtering. Deny association to wireless network for unspecified MAC addresses. Mac or Physical addresses are available through your computer device network connection setup and they are physically written on network cards. When adding new wireless cards / computer to the network, their MAC addresses should be registered with the router /access point.
Network router should have firewall features enabled and demilitarized zone (DMZ) feature disabled.
You can test your hardware and personal firewalls using Shields Up test available at http://www.grc.com
All computers should have a properly configured personal firewall in addition to a hardware firewall.
Update router/access point firmware when new versions become available.
Locate router/access point away from strangers so they cannot reset the router/access point to default settings.
Locate router/access point in the middle of the building rather than near windows to limit signal coverage outside the building.
While none of the measure suggested above provides full protection as counter measures exist, a collection of suggested measures will act as a deterrent against attacker when other insecure networks represent easier targets.

My Pod. The Many Types of Music Podcasts. Pod wars
The World Wide Web contains many music podcasts, and they are distributed by podcasters who want to share their work with the world. Some of these are distributed by independent musicians, groups or individuals who enjoy creating and sharing their music but have a small fanbase. For them, a podcast means closer contact with their listeners, and the blog that usually accompanies a podcast often allows for the comments and opinions of the listeners to be shared with the musicians.
The close contact is often appreciated by the listeners, and even some become resentful when their favorite groups gain widespread popularity and become to big. Musicians may find that the music podcast they share is a way to build a following and gain an audience that is loyal to them.
Most of the musicians who podcast do so as independent artists who lack the sound the music industry is looking for or simply have not been noticed yet, a music podcast may build a following that attracts attention to them and gives them an entry point into the music industry.
Sometimes, a music podcast may be the chance to become a dj, and the episodes they share will contain mixes of different songs, highlighting obscure yet accomplished artists and taking their listeners on a tour every episode. These amateurs podcast merely because they enjoy the activity, as most independent podcasters do.
The online radio station involves another type of music podcast. While some radio stations have taken the leap to the internet by offering streaming connections to their current playlist, others have accepted the podcast as a way of sharing their music. Such a style is very similar to the amateur dj, but brings a level of professionalism that is not found with the amateur podcasters.
A music podcast may also be a way to sample works by more well known artists before purchasing. In order to peak interest in the songs before release, some musicians and groups will podcast their new music, or portions of the new pieces. Fans get to listen to the music and find out what they might like before purchasing the whole album. A possibility, however, is that music podcasts become subscription based, and musicians begin charging for access to the feed.
With Apple's iTunes reaching its one billionth paid download recently, the online sale of music has proved its popularity. A music group could conceivably offer a feed to its fans that they could pay for, and regularly update it with new songs that would be downloaded directly to the fan's computers Although this distribution model is not yet in place, it seems to fit with the over all trend. Already, some nonmusical groups have agreed to podcast their files, on the condition that a paid subscription is bought.

Video iPod`s package - Your video online. Video Online Media.
The trend that the Apple company set for their packages is redefined with every new appearance of a product. Actually, the permanent search in finding the right package and aesthetics and adapting the box to both the product and the customers` needs is focused on discovering a more compact way of packaging and, at the same time, with an expressive, yet subtle artistic touch. Due to the characteristics of the product, the packaging of the video iPod tries to be both practical and aesthetic, in order to symbolize somehow the visual characteristics and quality of the new product. The original package of the iPod was a 6" cube box. The box was supposed to be removed out of the sleeve, after which, it was unfolded as a flower. The first iPod package reflected the image that the company was trying to promote: exuberant style, expressive elements, brisk and intense colors and sounds. After the appearance of the next types of iPods, this image of the product changed into a more mature one, an image which was expressed through the campaigns, the package and the general design of the product. The main color of the iPod video is plain black, which is rather risky, yet original, considering the fact that the main aspect that the device has is the video, meaning colors, motion and diversion. Still, there are various silver accents on the box, which represent the Apple logo and text. Still, the color of the box fits with the colors of the actual iPods: black and white, just like the iPod nano. By choosing these colors and this style of packaging, Apple wanted to create a more sophisticated and stylish look of the new product; together with this, the ads for the product changed to a more series and mature tone. The shape of the box differs, as well, from the first flower-like box of the first generation of iPods: this iPod`s video box is rather flat and square, more stylish and more serious looking. Actually, this box works as a sleeve, as well, with one open end, similar to a DVD box set, but it also contains another inner box, which is very well fixed inside. The inner box opens in 2 distinctive parts: one part contains the iPod device and the other contains a monolith. The package lacks a manual guide (still, it has a small Quick Start Guide); instead, it has a CD which contains all the needed usage instructions of the iPod video. Besides these, the box contains a relevant and think copyright statement and a protective sleeve for the actual iPod. The CD which contains the instructions displays an appropriate PDF file that suits any computer, using the languages English, French, German, Japanese and Chinese. Another inside package contains an USB adapter cable and the ear buds; this type of iPod has even smaller ear buds, which need to be protected while opening the box. The new product iPod video has, besides various improvements in the technical department (among which, the video feature is the most relevant one), another package, another image and way of presentation. The new package manages to remain practical, yet it becomes safer. Besides these, the new package offers a more sophisticated and elitist image of the product, concentrating on refined touches and neutral colors.

See Tennessee. The beautiful Tennessee. Visit Tennessee.
See Tennessee. The beautiful Tennessee. Visit Tennessee.
Visit Amazing Chattanooga, TN!!
How about a step back in time? We began our visit at none other than the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, where we stayed in a Victorian rail car. We were there the week or so before their official season started and it was a little quiet. But I was assured that things came a live when tourist season started. However the slow pace was a really nice for us. We had dinner at the Station House where they had singing servers. We also took a carriage ride where all the carriages are assigned a dalmation to ride.
We visited all the regular tourist places that people see when they come to Chattanooga. Rock City...a MUST see! This place is a great thing of beauty. At the top you can see 7 states! This is a self-guided tour. Special thanks to the Carters who started Rock City on private property back in the 30's.
Then on to Ruby Falls...WOW! This was quite a hike and I think the only thing we didn't like about Ruby Falls was that it was a group tour. Other than that...WOW! 145-foot underground waterfall that they have never found the source to.
Of course we had to catch the famous Tennessee Aquarium. Those sea horses are a thing of wonder! It is a great aquarium and takes several hours to go through...so leave your self plenty of time to take in this adventure. And who would want to miss the IMAX Theater...A Rainforest Adventure...GREAT PRODUCTION!
We don't want to leave out the incline-railway. At the top you have a view of the entire downtown Chattanooga.
There is one other stop that I just loved! It was one of those accidental things that make trips worthwhile! 2601 Broad Street! I noticed this beautiful mosaic on the building. So I just had to stop and find out about it! We ended up going into several great shops! One was a little shop called the GRAPEVINE of Chattanooga that had clothing, and outdoor equipment; another was an art studio that had unique art! And of course we met the artist Steve Terlizzese of Collage Mosaics that did the mosaic on the building. He does Grandfather Clocks, Wall Mirrors and lots of other things. He also does custom work. Check him out at www.E-creativeunion.com
Chattanooga is great for the whole family or a romantic weekend of two. My best advise when visiting Chattanooga is to look for package deals, you will save quite a bit of money.

Purchase domain name. Buy domain name.
By Kevin Dark
Here we will try to give you some tips that may be help you to purchase domain names you need.
Purchase domain names in the extension that is as much relative to your business organizational model as possible. For example, .ca means your business is based in Canada and .de clearly explains your German location. However, there are global domains, such as .com or .net.
Be careful when choosing a domain name registration service provider. Some of them are scammers and after you tell them the name you want to register, they do it themselves and then make you buy it from them. They may also charge you for more money than you though from the initial offer. Do some research - scammers are usually mentioned at least once on the Internet. Telephone support availability is a good sign your domain name registration service provider is a serious business and it is simply comfortable to settle up problems instantly by placing a call. Besides that, look for accreditations, for example from ICANN. Serious companies try to gain as much accreditations as possible so that it improves their image and guarantees their security. If a domain registration service doesn't have any accreditations, it shouldn't be considered to be a scam or alike, but it is a warning sign.
Try using keywords when choosing your domain name. Some search engines, like Google for example, do take keywords in the domain name into account so this may help you rank a little bit higher in search results. However, choose the shortest name possible so that it is easy to spell and remember.
Make sure you purchase domain names that are not potentially dangerous to be sued for. Avoid trademarks infringement and don't try to squat someone's domains. This is simply not fair and may cause problems.
If the domain name you want is available in several extensions, we recommend you to consider buying as much of them as possible so that no one can take advantage of your success.
Let’s imagine you’ve found a company you like. Hit Google to search for example for "domain registration" or "domain names purchase". If you find information about the company your chose in the first several pages of results, it means the company has been operating in domain registration business for quite a long period of time. If you can't find any traces of the company in search results and/or observe it only in AdWords, for instance, this is just another reason to check everything once again.
Therefore, when you purchase domain names, remember to go through careful planning and research. Choose the companies you trust not only because you want to. Register domain names that will appeal to your visitors and won't infringe someone's rights.
